Some other questions I recommend asking during your venue search are:

  • What dates are available on/around my preferred date?

  • How many guests can this venue accommodate?

  • Can I hold my ceremony here as well? Is there an additional charge?

  • How many weddings or events do you host on one day? On one weekend?

  • How many hours are included in the rental space? Does that include set-up time?

  • Is there an overtime fee?

  • Do you have liability insurance?

  • How many bathrooms are available and where are they?

  • Is parking available on-site? Will guests be charged for parking?

  • Are taxis/Ubers/Lyfts easily accessible from here?

  • Where are the nearest hotels and where do you recommend we get a room block?

  • Do you have your own A/V sound equipment or will those need to be provided?

  • Are there noise restrictions?

  • What is the backup plan for rain or inclement weather?

  • Is there a getting ready room for the bride? Groom?

  • How much time is allocated for the rehearsal? Is it the day before? Do we have to reserve it?

  • Can we choose our own vendors or do we have to select from a specific list?

  • Who is my main point of contact here?

  • Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band?

  • Do you have any rentals on site? Dance floor, tables, chairs, linens, glassware, etc.?

  • What security do you provide?

  • Do you have a coat check service?

  • What time can vendors start setting up on the day of the wedding?

  • Are candles permitted?

  • Do you provide heaters or umbrellas for outdoor?

  • Do you have a preferred floor plan?

    *IF FOOD IS CATERED IN-HOUSE:

  • Do you have a food and beverage minimum?

  • Can I bring my own alcohol and is there a corkage fee?

  • Is there a cake cutting fee?

  • Can I bring in my own desserts?

  • What are the tax and service/gratuity charges?

  • If I hire my own caterer, are kitchen facilities available for them?
