“Melanie really takes the time to understand you as a couple, so she can bring out your personalities through the event details and connect you with vendors that match your vibe. From mood boards to vendor selection to monthly to-do lists, Melanie really made the whole process fun. She was very organized, communicative and offered such great industry knowledge. She thinks through every detail. In addition to making everything we wanted a reality, she also had great ideas for our reception.”

The Day

As high school sweethearts, Casey and Matt’s wedding day was long awaited by many people, including myself! I met Casey when we were both college freshmen at UCSB and we returned to beautiful Santa Barbara for her wedding day.

Casey and Matt truly had an incredible vendor team, a handful of whom also knew the pair prior to their engagement! From the florist to the photographer to hair and makeup, Casey and Matt felt the love and support coming from all vendors on their big day.

The Design

When I chatted with Casey about design, she said “all I know if that I want a circle arch and my bridesmaids are in a dusty blue.” I took that and ran with it. We embraced the coastal blues and added silver and white accents to create a luxurious feel in the Hilton Beachfront’s Reagan Room. From there, we worked with Amy at Desert Rose florals to soften the luxurious look to keep the laid back Santa Barbara vibes by adding hints of light pink, nude and caramel. At the ceremony, that circle arch could not have fit any better if we tried. The round shape fit perfectly under the tall arches that look out onto the beach.

Everything was executed perfectly and with the help of Kaylyn from Pirouette Paper, we made sure the guest experience was tailored from the minute they entered the ceremony until the time the took their custom champagne marker seating assignment at reception.

The Vendors

Matt, who is a talented musician, knew that music was going to be important for him at his wedding. Matt recorded a cover of Bloom as a surprise for Casey to walk down the aisle. He also had a big hand in hiring live musicians for the cocktail hour to make sure the whole evening was rocking. Casey and Matt, two night owls who love to party with their friends, brought in Jose with AMS Entertainment who brought back all of our favorite college jams and even played a four hour dance set - in which the dance floor was packed the WHOLE time.

Needless to say, this wedding was one for the books. From the people, to the vendors, to the decor this wedding will be hard to forget!
